It's All About
Developing Communities

Amnico - Developing Communities
Strong Communities are about so much more than buildings.

They’re about people. They’re about connecting and contributing. About having the freedom to seize life’s opportunities. About growing up, growing together, and growing old in security and comfort. Strong communities celebrate today. They look to tomorrow.

At Amnico Management Trust, everything we do aims to build strong communities. Innovative property developments. New retirement communities. Business investments. Support for local groups. Ultimately, they are all about building strong communities.

We think this commitment makes all the difference.

Sharing the commitment to healthy communities.

In the pressure and rush of modern life, many places have lost their sense of community. That’s tragic. We think it’s hugely important to take the time to think of one another and think about the future. Shared community goals matter. So does teaming together to make them happen.

This thinking drives Amnico Foundation. Through the Foundation, we fund and give a hand to community projects on the Kapiti Coast. Financial support has totalled over $1 million since 2006.

The focus is on community projects that benefit everyone from youngsters to great grandparents. For example:

Relocating and fully renovating a 1000 square metre covered riding arena, used by the Kapiti Vaulting Club Riding for the Disabled Programme. The building now offers facilities to enable these groups (both children and adult) to participate in riding for therapy in all weathers.

Amnico Foundation was a Gold Sponsor of The Radio Network Special Children’s Christmas Party 2007, 2008 and 2009, which was attended by children suffering from one or more of a life threatening illness, physical or intellectual impairment, domestic violence, or living in underprivileged circumstances.

Amnico is also a major sponsor of the Kapiti Coast arm of Kidsreach Charitable Trust, an interdenominational Christian organisation whose mission is to train, resource, encourage and equip those who work with children.  Locally, Kidsreach is involved on a regular basis helping children deal with the aftermath of separation and divorce through the High Five Divorce Recovery Programme as well as the Kids Keep Safe Project as a response to the plight of children who are abused and/or neglected.
